Turkey Burgers & Salad

Turkey is an excellent meat choice as it is quite lean and full of protein! Have the turkey burgers and salad on their own or put them between 2 pieces of grainy bread or a grainy roll and you have yourself a delicious burger – YUM!   Makes 16 patties

Ingredients

Burger Ingredients:

  • 1kg Turkey Mince

  • 2 eggs (whisked)

  • 1 tbsp. crushed garlic

  • 1 tbsp. crushed ginger

  • 4 springs onions

  • 1 tsp. chilli flakes

  • ½ cup of breadcrumbs

  • Splash of fish sauce

  • Splash of tamari (soy sauce)

  • ½ lime juice

  Salad Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of mixed lettuce mix

  • ½ large cucumber diced

  • 2 medium tomatoes diced

  • 1 red capsicum diced

  • A few sprigs of mint

  • 1 packet of bean shoots

  • Small handful of crushed unsalted peanuts

  • Sprinkle of dried shallots

Method

  • Combine burger ingredients into a large bowl and mix, roll patties with your hands. Place on fry pan with a spray of olive oil. When turkey is cooked it resembles the same colour as cooked chicken!

  • Simply throw the salad all together and enjoy!
