Turkey Burgers & Salad
Turkey is an excellent meat choice as it is quite lean and full of protein! Have the turkey burgers and salad on their own or put them between 2 pieces of grainy bread or a grainy roll and you have yourself a delicious burger – YUM! Makes 16 patties
Ingredients
Burger Ingredients:
1kg Turkey Mince
2 eggs (whisked)
1 tbsp. crushed garlic
1 tbsp. crushed ginger
4 springs onions
1 tsp. chilli flakes
½ cup of breadcrumbs
Splash of fish sauce
Splash of tamari (soy sauce)
½ lime juice
Salad Ingredients:
1 bag of mixed lettuce mix
½ large cucumber diced
2 medium tomatoes diced
1 red capsicum diced
A few sprigs of mint
1 packet of bean shoots
Small handful of crushed unsalted peanuts
Sprinkle of dried shallots
Method
Combine burger ingredients into a large bowl and mix, roll patties with your hands. Place on fry pan with a spray of olive oil. When turkey is cooked it resembles the same colour as cooked chicken!
Simply throw the salad all together and enjoy!
